Guide · wheels and tires

What’s the best software for selling used wheels and tires?

It depends on where the selling happens. A shop that sells used tires at the counter needs software that records tread depth, and most tire software doesn’t. A seller on eBay, Facebook and its own site needs one inventory that takes a set down everywhere when it sells. And anyone selling OEM wheels needs a way to identify them. No single product does all three, so the options below are grouped by the problem they solve.

Disclosure, up front: I run Evolve Engineering, which is on this page. From 2012 to 2026 I ran the eBay side of AllOEMRims, a Broward County OEM wheel business, and built the system behind it. That’s used OEM wheels, not a tire shop, so on the tire side I’m reporting what the vendors publish.

Track used tires at the counter

Most tire shop software is built for new tires off a distributor's catalog. Only one I checked says plainly that it's built for used stock.

Used Tire Shop

Inventory and point of sale for used tires

Tracks new and used tire and wheel inventory, records the tread depth on each tire and prints it on the label, and lists tires on eBay directly. It has a point-of-sale module.

Published price: Starter free, Local $59 a month, Professional $89 a month; Warehouse and Enterprise not published

Best fit: A used tire shop that wants its counter stock and its eBay listings in one place.

TireMaster

Tire shop point of sale (ASA)

A long-running tire dealer system with a fitment guide and DOT registration. Its page doesn't mention used tires or tread depth.

Published price: Not published

Best fit: A shop that sells mostly new tires and some used ones on the side.

Not the pick if: Used tires are most of what you sell. Ask how it handles tread depth before you buy.

Tekmetric Tire Suite

Add-on to a repair shop system

Adds tire tools, including automatic DOT registration, to Tekmetric's shop management software. Nothing on its pricing page covers used tires.

Published price: $39 a month per shop, on top of a Tekmetric plan from $179 a month billed annually

Best fit: A repair shop already on Tekmetric that also sells tires.

List the same stock in more than one place

If a set of wheels sits on eBay, Facebook Marketplace and your own site at once, something has to take it down everywhere when it sells.

Vendoo

Crosslisting for resellers

Lists one item to several marketplaces, Facebook Marketplace among them. Built for resellers of all kinds, not for parts.

Published price: $14.99, $29.99 or $59.99 a month, billed monthly

Best fit: A small seller who mostly needs the same listing in three places.

List Perfectly

Crosslisting for resellers

Crosslists to eBay, Facebook and other marketplaces from one inventory.

Published price: $29, $49, $69 or $99 and up a month

Best fit: A seller whose eBay listings are the master copy.

Sellbrite

Multichannel listing and inventory

Lists to marketplaces and syncs quantities across them, priced by orders rather than listings.

Published price: Free up to 30 orders a month, then $29 (100 orders), $79 (500) or $179 (2,000) a month, billed annually

Best fit: A shop that wants inventory counts kept in sync, with a free tier to try.

Listing Mirror

Multichannel listing and inventory

Syncs listings and inventory across channels, with plans sized by SKU count and number of channels.

Published price: From $149 a month (1,000 SKUs, 3 channels)

Best fit: A bigger catalog that's outgrown the reseller tools.

The big multichannel platforms are built for larger catalogs: Zentail starts at $300 a month plus per-listing and per-order fees, and Sellercloud at $1,349 a month.

Let buyers search your own site by vehicle or size

A web store full of wheels is hard to shop without a search that knows what fits. These add one.

Convermax Year Make Model

Shopify app

Year, make and model search for parts stores, with a separate wheels and tires search version and a My Garage feature.

Published price: From $250 a month, free trial

Best fit: A Shopify store with enough wheel and tire stock to justify a real fitment search.

EasySearch

Shopify app

Year, make and model search aimed at auto parts and tire stores.

Published price: From $19 a month

Best fit: A smaller Shopify store that wants vehicle search without a big monthly bill.

Year Make Model Search for WooCommerce

WordPress plugin

A free plugin with over 1,000 active installs. It searches by year, make and model only.

Published price: Free

Best fit: A WooCommerce site that needs basic vehicle search.

Identify a used OEM wheel

A used OEM wheel rarely carries a part number a buyer can search. The trade answer is the Hollander interchange number.

Hollander Interchange

Interchange data (Solera)

The interchange catalog yards use to say which parts fit which vehicles, with images of over 7,000 wheels and wheel covers. Hollander also describes WheelSpotter, an app that finds a wheel's Hollander number from a photo among 12,000 OEM wheels, in a 2023 post.

Published price: Not published

Best fit: Anyone selling OEM wheels in volume. Buyers and yards search by these numbers.

Have the workflow built around you

When the counter, the shelf and three marketplaces all have to agree, no single tool above covers the whole job.

Evolve Engineering

Custom build · one person

This is my company, so read it with that in mind. I build the connection between what you already run, so a wheel sold at the counter comes off eBay and your site on its own, and listings are built from your photos and interchange data.

Published price: Quoted per project

Best fit: A shop that sells wheels in several places and is tired of keeping them in agreement by hand.

Not the pick if: One tool above already covers your whole day. Then buy that tool.

Method: each entry comes from the vendor’s own site, and each marketplace rule from that marketplace’s own pages, checked on October 31, 2026. I haven’t run every product end to end. Prices are quoted only where a vendor publishes them, as listed that day.

The marketplace rules that matter

Tread depth on eBay. A tire listed as Used needs at least 5/32 of an inch of tread, and one listed as Damaged at least 4/32. Measure it, and put the number in the listing. Buyers look for it first.

Fitment goes by size, not by car. eBay matches tires by section width, aspect ratio, rim diameter, load index and speed rating. Those fields have to be right, because that’s how a buyer’s search finds the tire.

No Guaranteed Fit, and no forced free returns. Tires and wheels are excluded from eBay Guaranteed Fit. When eBay made free 30-day returns the rule for most parts in 2025, it left wheels, tires and tire and wheel packages out, so your return policy is still yours to set.

Installation is for new tires only. eBay offers installation at more than 5,000 shops through CarAdvise and SimpleTire, and says it’s only available for new tires. A used set can’t use it.

Facebook and Amazon. Meta’s commerce policy bans catalytic converters, airbags and emissions defeat devices among vehicle parts. Tires and wheels aren’t on that list. Amazon told sellers in 2022 that tire, wheel and rim listings need paperwork showing they meet federal motor vehicle safety standards. Its rules on used tires sit behind a seller login, so I couldn’t check them.

The honest read

Most of the trouble I saw with wheels wasn’t the listing. It was keeping track. A set sells at the counter in the morning, it’s still live online that afternoon, and the next buyer gets a cancellation. On eBay a cancellation counts against you, and enough of them push the account below standard and raise your fees.

So pick the group that matches where your stock gets out of step. If it’s the counter, start with shop software that knows used tires. If it’s three marketplaces, start with a crosslister. If you run a yard system already, look at its own eBay bridge before you add anything.

Straight answers

How much tread does a used tire need to sell on eBay?

eBay's condition rules say a tire listed as Used must have at least 5/32 of an inch of tread left, and one listed as Damaged at least 4/32. I couldn't find an eBay rule on tire age.

Does eBay Guaranteed Fit cover wheels and tires?

No. eBay says tires and wheels are currently excluded from Guaranteed Fit, though it still shows the compatibility checkmark on them. Fitment for tires goes by the tire's own size, load index and speed rating.

Can buyers get a used tire installed through eBay?

Not today. eBay's tire installation, run with CarAdvise and SimpleTire, is only available for new tires.

Do I have to offer free returns on wheels and tires on eBay?

No. When eBay made free 30-day returns the rule for most parts and accessories in 2025, it left wheels, tires and tire and wheel packages out.
